On behalf of the organizing committee it is my great pleasure and honor to invite you to participate, exchange ideas, and enjoy the forthcoming 6th congress of the African Association of Physiological Sciences (AAPS) to be held in Ismailia, Egypt from 1 to 6 September 2012.

The theme of the congress is: "Physiological Sciences: Basic and Applied Aspects". We will have a teaching workshop on 1 & 2 September and the actual congress will be held from 3 to 6 September 2012. We are expecting to have a very rich program with the contribution of distinguished speakers from AAPS, IUPS, APS, and Physiological Society.

Ismailia is a quiet beautiful city, located in the middle of Suez Canal and is about 110 Km east of Cairo. Its quiet environment, vast green areas, beautiful beaches on the Temsah lake rendered it one of the touristic attractions in Egypt.
